f60 - Besucherzentrum

The design for the F60 - Visitor Center envisions an elongated structure made of reinforced concrete, located to the northeast of the F60 on a slope. The dimensions are 60x12x7 meters. Access is provided from the parking lot via an accessible ramp leading visitors to the entrance, situated 2.5 meter below street level. The entrance situation already illustrates the concept of the entire design - the experience of the location on an inclined plane.

Inspired by the conveyor belts of the F60, which transported the overburden of the open-pit mine, visitors perceive the exhibition of the visitor center from various perspectives. This allows them to prepare for the subsequent tour over the conveyor bridge.
